Hey everyone!!!

First of all, I want to apologize for not having very many updates for you guys as partners lately! The first few weeks of CGA have been super busy, crazy, hard, fun, and everything in between! So, I wanted to give you guys a few updates and information!

Housing:

My class and I got to CGA about two weeks ago, and we are all settled into our homes!

I live in bogus house with 5 other apprentices, an intern, and my house mentor Erika! Our class is split into four different houses, with anywhere from 6 to 8 apprentices in each house, plus interns and house mentors. Our housing placements are prayed over by staff in order to ensure each of us are in the best community and environment possible. We have interns and house mentors as another unit of discipleship within our homes. House mentors work for AIM- My house mentor Erika is the worship director! CGA housing and its environment is so special because we get to live ordinary, every day life here in the states in community. We get to push through in the mundane, and choose into each other when it gets hard. I’m super thankful for the people I have been blessed with in this season, and can’t wait for you to know more about them. Stay tuned for a meet the roomies blog!

Work and responsibilities:

Part of CGA is learning how to lead ourselves well not just spiritually, but also on a practical level. A big part of this is transitioning into adulthood. Apprentices are required to have a part time job to pay for personal expenses (groceries, transportation, etc) and learn how to steward our finances well. I am working at a daycare in the area as an assistant pre-k teacher and I love it SO much! We are also learning how to steward our time well through balancing the responsibilities of work, class, meal planning, and more.

Class, Hangouts, and house church!

We have class all day on Monday and we also get to partake in weekly worship with staff! Tuesday through Friday, we have class from nine to noon. Friday mornings we have connection time with our housemates to debrief the week, and during our class time we do house church. House church is led by us as apprentices and it can look like whatever it needs to, whether that is worship, someone bringing the word, or just spending time in community as a class. Some nights, we gather at one of the houses to do a game, movie, volleyball, or worship night and have occasional lake days!

This past week, we worked together to create a collective mission and vision statement. Class is very discussion based and there is a big emphasis on us learning the answers through experience and classmates rather than them being given to us by instructors.

Fundraising and Monthly Support Breakdown!!

I am still fundraising and am currently at $3,000, which is halfway funded!!! I still need to fundraise $3,000 and am praying for more monthly support! Here is a breakdown of what I need to fundraise monthly for the rest of CGA, showing what amounts I need and how many supporters I need donating that amount in order to reach my goal. Monthly support is for a three month commitment (August-October)

Monthly goal: $1,000 a month through October; my deadline to be fully funded is November 1st!

-3 donors of $100 a month

-5 donors of $50 a month

-10 donors of $25 a month

-20 donors of $10 a month

If you would like to commit to filling one of these slots and helping me reach my goal, please let me know. If you would like to give a one time donation or set a up a monthly donation of an amount other than one listed in this breakdown, that would also be so appreciated! Please consider advancing the kingdom through investing in me and the discipleship I am receiving through CGA. Please let me know if you have any questions!

I am also selling my t-shirts and crewnecks again! Crewnecks are $35 plus $5 shipping if needed, and t-shirts are $25 plus shipping if needed. They are all comfortable colors and come in sizes XS through XXL in the colors shown.
